Managing Toolbars

  • Hover on the edge of a section to find the section toolbar. You may need to tap to show the toolbar on a mobile device.
  • Hover on the left edge of the screen to find the global toolbar.
  • Click on the arrow sign < to hide the global toolbar.
  • On the section toolbar, click on the vertical toolbar icon to show the global toolbar again. Make sure you click it ONCE. This button toggles global toolbar, and the number of clicks will decide whether to show or hide the global toolbar.
  • Verify the global toolbar is visible now.
  • Now you know how to hide or show global toolbar.

Buttons Available When the Section App is On

Edit

  • The app is in standby mode.
  • Click on this button to switch to editing mode.
  • The section works like a normal web page.
  • Click on a link will take you to a new resource.

Editing

  • The app is in editing mode.
  • Click on this button to exit editing.
  • Click on text or image to start editing.
  • The section will behave differently.
  • Click on a link will bring up an editor.

Save

  • Click this button to save the current PAGE.
  • Click on “Save” button on any section will save the whole page.
  • This button works in standby and editing mode.

Settings

  • Toggles more options of the current section.
  • This button works in standby and editing mode.

Images at Side

  • Hide the global toolbar to make room for this exercise.
  • Find the toolbar of this section.
  • Click on the toggle icon to turn this app on.
  • Click on the Edit button to switch to edit mode. You should see a context toolbar.
  • Click on the button labeled T (t for toggle) at the top corner of the section to switch to another toolbar, or hide them altogether.
  • Click on this button again to show the toolbar.
  • Drag the sliders and see how they affect the layout.
  • Click on the buttons to find out what happens. If you hover on a button, a tooltip will give some clue about itself.
  • You may need to tap a button before clicking it on a mobile device.
  • Switch off the editing mode when done.

  • Click on the image to show a popup window, and enter the URL to the image you want to use.
  • Drag the slider to allocate different space to image and text.
  • Place the text above the image, drag the text slider to adjust the width of the text within the column.
  • Click on the text alignment button and place text block to somewhere you want.
  • Click on the Editing button to exit editing mode when done.
